Will and Shannon Venable are the proud owners of Designer’s Right Hand. Together they have over 40 years of experience in the interior design industry. Both sets of their own parents were professionals in the interior decorating business for decades! Because their roots run deep in their chosen field, the Venables have the ‘know-how’ and the resources to support you in the growth of your design career.   

Shannon’s father, William T. Bohannon, served for years as an experienced salesman and installation expert for the Texas based decorating franchise WindowViews. When Shannon was just a teenager, she had the opportunity to work side-by-side with both her father and her mother Joanna Lee as an employee of The Blind Place, a successful window treatment franchise created and established by her uncle, Odis Haley. Shannon credits Odis’ wife, the late Suzette Haley, for inspiring her to delve into the art of digital oil painting. Shannon is a gifted artist with an inspiring body of work. She is especially indebted to her parents for instilling in her the Godly values and work ethics that have lead to a successful business and fulfilling life.      

Will’s parents, Paul W. and the late Linda D. Venable owned and operated the retail decorating establishment Brand Names Linen Outlet in Columbus, GA for twenty-five years. Will learned about dedication, honesty, and hard-work as he watched his mother serve behind the counter at ‘Brand Names’ year after year. Linda’s reputation for treating her employees and customers with fairness and respect was well earned. In addition to being the financial controller of their retail business, Will’s father Paul worked for years with Tom’s Foods as a long-distance truck-driver. He now serves his church as a deacon, Bible class teacher, and preacher. Paul’s love of the Bible is the chief reason that Will attended seminary school at Florida College in Temple Terrace, FL where he and Shannon met and married after a nine month courtship. Will and Shannon have been married for 21 years and have three lovely daughters, a new son-in-law, and a grand-baby due in May!   

Will and Shannon are the heartbeat of DRH and will take the lead on every project. They accept personal responsibility for the satisfactory completion of each project entrusted to them. Will and Shannon know how important it is to follow through with commitments. They know that there is nothing more important in a business relationship than mutual respect and trust.They understand that the DRH name is everything!
